Breath & blooms:
3rd Annual Spring Equinox
Yoga & Nature Retreat
Thursday, March 18th—Sunday, March 21st, 2027
Boonville • CA
Journey to Whispertree, nestled in the heart of Anderson Valley, for a 4-day, 3-night yoga and nature retreat celebrating the Spring Equinox. Just 2.5 hours north of the East Bay, we’ll spend a long weekend immersed in movement, nourishing food, community, and the rhythms of spring.
Awaken and unravel tension through body and spirit with daily yoga practices designed to help you shake off winter’s rust. Between practices, there’s plenty of space to slow down, wander, soak in the cedar hot tub, connect with new and familiar faces, or simply do nothing at all.
Come relax, flow with nature, create new connections, and bloom into the season ahead.
Who This Retreat Is For
Breath & Blooms is for anyone craving a few days to step away from the usual rhythm and reconnect—with their body, with nature, and with themselves.
You might feel at home here if you’re looking for a balance of movement and rest, connection and solitude, structure and spaciousness. Maybe you’re ready to shake off some winter heaviness, deepen your yoga practice, spend more time outside, meet new people, or simply give yourself a few days where you don’t have to be anywhere else.
Come solo, with a friend, or with a partner. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand, and you don’t need an advanced yoga practice—just a willingness to move, explore, rest, and be part of the weekend.
MOVEMENT, BREATH WORK, AND MEDITATION
Enjoy two yoga practices each day, with workshop-style exploration woven throughout. Mornings begin with Powerful Vinyasa and energizing breathwork to awaken the body and build heat from within. In the afternoons, we’ll slow things down with Slow Flow + Restorative, calming breathwork, and guided meditation—space to soften, integrate, and settle into the quieter rhythms of retreat.
All practices are room temperature and unheated (or gently warmed if it’s chilly!).
Bring your yoga mat and a few hand towels if you tend to get sweaty; all other props are provided.
All levels are welcome—come with curiosity and a willingness to explore.
Collective practices + Moments of connection
-
Step into spring
Explore the wild beauty of Whispertree as we wander among live oak, madrone, manzanita trees, rolling meadows, and the soft quiet of Northern California’s springtime. This guided hike invites you to tune into the rhythm of the natural world, and reconnect with what feels alive within you.

-
Rest + Receive
Immerse yourself in waves of sound designed to soothe the nervous system and soften the heart with a Restorative Sound Bath. Crystal bowls will carry you inward — creating space for clarity, renewal, and the subtle unfolding of spring within you.

-
Root into Renewal
Sink your hands into the dirt and nurture something new. You’ll pot a sweet little houseplant to take home, a living reminder of the seeds you’re planting within yourself. Then, craft a beautifully fragrant floral bundle using bee balm, lavender, California white sage, and wild blooms. As we release these bundles to the bonfire, we’ll infuse them with intentions, calling in growth, vitality, and abundance for the seasons ahead.

GET THE LAY OF THE LAND
Whispertree is wonderfully spread out, with accommodations, practice spaces, gathering areas, and trails tucked throughout the property. Here’s a little map to help you get the lay of the land—and see where your potential home for the weekend might be. 🌿
MEALS
Our meals are lovingly prepared by Culinary Magic, aka the wonderful Carin McKay and her team. Using local, organic, seasonal ingredients, Carin and her crew create vibrant, nourishing meals throughout the weekend—and their warmth, humor, and presence make them feel like part of the retreat community. I’m so excited to welcome them back for Breath & Blooms.
Mornings begin with a light, help-yourself breakfast before yoga, followed by a heartier brunch after our morning practice. In the evenings, we’ll gather again for a nourishing shared dinner.
Our retreat menu will be primarily vegetarian, with vegan and gluten-free options available. For guests who prefer animal protein, organic chicken and/or fish will also be available as an optional dinner add-on for an additional cost. Because ingredient prices can fluctuate, pricing for the animal-protein add-on will be confirmed approximately one month before the retreat.
If you have dietary restrictions or food allergies, please include them when registering so we can plan accordingly.
You’re welcome to bring additional snacks or supplemental foods if desired. The Toll House kitchen will be reserved for our catering team throughout the retreat. Guests have access to a kitchen downstairs in The Barn, separate from the private kitchen in the upstairs Barn apartment. Bell Tent guests also have access to a rustic outdoor kitchen near the tents.
